OMAHA, Neb., Sept. 18, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Werner Enterprises (NASDAQ: WERN), a premier transportation and logistics provider, is honored to support students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) pursuing careers in supply chain management, logistics and information technology with a philanthropic investment in UNO’s College of Information Science and Technology and the supply chain management program in UNO’s College of Business Administration.

Werner’s monetary gift to the University of Nebraska Foundation establishes three funds to support a range of UNO student-focused programs, curriculum and events at both the collegiate and secondary education levels. The inaugural Werner Enterprises Lectureship at UNO will feature Werner President and CEO Derek Leathers on April 24, 2020.
